Black & White: 501 See Streets Photos from their 29th Street Mural in Astoria, Queens, NYC

Support this 501(c)(3). Art. Community. Revitalization.

501 See Streets works with community groups and entities to assist in the beautification of neighborhoods through art. What started as an idea in a class at New York University has formed into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. 501 See Streets works with community groups–ranging from business improvement districts to police precincts to civic and neighborhood associations–to beautify communities through art.

And there is a 501 See Streets & LRP Book! Out 2017.

501 See Streets seeks to:

  1. Design and paint murals that enhance the landscape and architecture of communities and promote cultural enrichment;
  2. Conduct workshops and classes for community residents and at-risk youth on art education, mural painting, cultural expression, and neighborhood beautification; and
  3. Create art galleries and artistic spaces to beautify surrounding neighborhoods and foster positive relationships between community residents and artists.
